Marriage requirements
The same requirements as mainland Italy apply: a Nulla Osta (no-impediment certificate) from your home country, translated into Italian and apostilled. Civil ceremonies can be performed at the Capri town hall or licensed venues. Religious ceremonies require coordination with the local diocese. Arrive at least 4 days before the wedding for required paperwork at the comune. A translator is legally required if neither partner speaks Italian.

How do guests get to Capri?
Guests fly into Naples International Airport, then take a hydrofoil or ferry from Naples or Sorrento to Capri. The hydrofoil takes approximately 45 minutes from Naples and 20 minutes from Sorrento. Ferries run frequently from April through October. Provide guests with a detailed transport guide including ferry schedules, ticket booking links, and luggage tips (travel light — Capri's porters and narrow lanes do not accommodate large suitcases).
What is the best month for a Capri wedding?
June and September are ideal. Both months offer warm, sunny weather (25–30°C), manageable tourist crowds, and the best availability and pricing. July and August are peak tourist season — the island is crowded, prices are highest, and availability is extremely limited. May and October offer pleasant weather and lower costs, though some venues and restaurants may have reduced hours.
Can we have a ceremony outdoors on Capri?
