The country is also remarkably intimate. With a population of only 400,000, Belize has no mass tourism infrastructure — no mega-resorts, no cruise ship ports overflowing into wedding venues, no tourist crowds. Marriage requirements
Belize is one of the easiest countries for foreigners to marry. Requirements: valid passports, proof of single status (or divorce decree if applicable), and arrival in Belize at least 3 days before the ceremony. Apply for a marriage license through the Registrar General's office — most resorts and wedding planners handle the paperwork. No blood tests or residency requirement. The ceremony must be performed by a licensed marriage officer.
