Wedding Vendor Directory

Everything you need to know before hiring your wedding team — what to look for, questions to ask, and what to expect to pay.

Your vendor team will shape nearly every element of your wedding day, from the food your guests enjoy to the images you revisit for decades. This directory is designed to help you approach each hiring decision with clarity. For every vendor category, we cover what distinguishes a great professional from an adequate one, which questions reveal the most during a consultation, and what realistic pricing looks like across different markets and experience levels.

How to choose your wedding vendors

  • Review full portfolios, not just highlights. Any professional can curate a dozen stunning images. Ask to see complete event galleries or full project documentation to understand how they perform across an entire day, including challenging conditions.
  • Check references and read reviews carefully. Look for patterns in client feedback rather than individual opinions. Consistent praise for communication, professionalism, and reliability matters more than a single glowing testimonial.
  • Understand what is included in the contract. Before signing, confirm exactly what deliverables, hours, and services are covered. Ask about overtime rates, travel fees, and cancellation policies so there are no surprises.
  • Prioritize personality fit. You will spend significant time with your key vendors on one of the most emotional days of your life. A skilled professional who makes you feel comfortable and heard will contribute far more to your experience than one who simply has an impressive portfolio.
  • Meet or video-call before committing. A consultation gives you the chance to gauge responsiveness, enthusiasm, and whether the vendor truly listens to your vision. It also lets you confirm that their working style aligns with your expectations.

When to book your vendors

As a general rule, start booking your most in-demand vendors nine to twelve months before the wedding. Venues, photographers, and wedding planners tend to fill their calendars first, especially for Saturday dates during peak season. Caterers, florists, and entertainment should be secured six to eight months out. Day-of service providers such as hair and makeup artists, transportation, and officiants can often be booked four to six months ahead, though popular professionals in major markets may require more lead time. Each vendor guide in our directory includes a recommended booking window specific to that category, so use those timelines as your starting point and adjust based on your local market and wedding date.
